25 NYS Wines For Under $25

Hey New York! No matter what your budget, finding quality wines under $25 can be overwhelming. There are endless options of varietals and regions and something you think sounds good, may not be.
New Yorkers take a lot of pride in everything…careers, sports teams, pizza, and even grocery stores (hey, Wegmans). So why not take pride in the sweet nectar of the vines grown here in the Empire State?! According to newyorkwines.org, New York State houses 1,631 family vineyards, over 400 wineries and 175,000,000 bottles of wine! We may not be Burgundy or Piedmont, but we can definitely hold our own.
If you’re like me and drink a ton of wine, you know the stuff gets expensive! There are of course wines you should splurge on for special occasions and add to your library, but maybe you just want a killer wine this weekend for no good reason. There is no need to spend more than $25, and while we’re at it, we should support our local NYS vineyards!
Below is a list of 25 NYS wines that are all under $25 in no particular order. I guarantee there is something for everyone…after all; we are more than just bomb Riesling these days!

There you have it! There is virtually nothing New York can’t do…except maybe grow some palm trees…which sounds really nice right about now! I keep my NYS wine collection pretty stocked and healthy. Although the pictured bottles are not necessarily under $25, I’m a huge advocate of supporting your local vineyards whether the bottle be $11 or $70!
