Take the"Guess Work" out of Buying Wine While Supporting Black-Owned Wineries with Sippd

The world of online wine buying is vast and deep. You could spend hours scrolling for wine online, only to buy a bottle that doesn't exactly match your taste preferences. What happens then? Most likely, you go back to what you know not really allowing you to venture out and discover new varieties or producers. Well, what if I told you there is a company using artificial intelligence to assure you'll like a bottle of wine before actually trying it? Because it exists and it's called, Sippd.

Getting started is quick and easy:

1. Visit here to download the extension to Google Chrome.

2. Once downloaded, click the puzzle piece at the top right of your screen and pin Sippd to your desktop.

3. Chose the wine styles you like.

4. Unlock your Taste Match by rating 3 wines.

5. Browse your Top Taste matches and order wine you'll like before tasting it!

The more wines you rate, the more accurate your Taste Matches will be. I had 96% and 98% Taste Matches with Stephane Aviron Fleurie 2017, and Domaine de la Charbonnière Châteauneuf du Pape 2017. If you know me, you know this is pretty spot on!

Beyond being your digital sommelier, Sippd is featuring Black-owned wineries allowing you to align your taste in wine with your taste in social values. Did you know that less than 1% of all wineries are Black-owned or have Black winemakers? Show your support by visiting the home page of the extension and see which Black-owned wineries are producing wines that suit your taste preferences. Not only can you learn more about their stories, but you can actually purchase the wine straight through the extension.

It doesn't stop there either. Sippd has also curated categories for the Autumn season making it easier for you to navigate your holiday wine shopping, and even assist with the best wines for football Sunday! Under the "Campfire Backyard Classics" category, I'm showing a 99% Taste Match with R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia Reserva which is probably within my top 5 favorite Spanish wines. It's the real deal.

Of course there is no way to guarantee you'll love every match every time, but Sippd is a great tool to help you get started with understanding your preferences and lead you in the right direction. It's about taking the guesswork out so you can start buying wine more confidently!
